The Integrated Circuit (IC) Semiconductor is the electronic invention that has had the most impact on our society.
The integrated circuit is a very advanced electric circuit. An electric circuit is made from different electrical components such as transistors, resistors, capacitors and diodes, that are connected to each other in different ways. These components have different functions.
Integrated circuits can be found in almost every modern electrical device such as computers, cars, television sets, CD players, cellular phones,some home appliances, medical devices, weaponry etc.
The idea of inserting a silicon chip into your head to augment your own capabilities is now under development. So called, artificial brain prosthesis, will enhance your memory, help you move an artificial limb, or even control machines at a distance.
